Coaching Kids
As the parent of two wonderfully athletic young boys, the likelihood of an opportunity to coach a kids sports team is about as probable as a house selling in Goodyear this month. For those not aware, 100 will sell this month. My oldest son is already a sports fan. No matter the team or event he will gladly pick whoever is winning and cheer regardless the outcome. So, when the schedule opened up for a flag football team in our area, http://nysonline.net/ he jumped at the chance.
Many a thought runs through your head as this new parenting experience comes upon you. Firstly, what are we supposed to do? Where is the first meeting? Will he be running drills to try out? Does he need a jock? It has been quite awhile since this guy has laced on the cleats and shoulder pads. Have times really changed? They're six. How complicated could this process be? I'll tell you.
